Big O Tires...RIP OFF

Your driving down the freeway, then *BAM*, you have a blown tire. If your like every other person that owns a car, the first thing that comes to your mind is 'more expenses'.Now of course you have your options with tires but for the most part there are 4 well known stores one would likely go to being Discount Tire, Pep Boys, Goodyear, and Big O Tires."

Big O tires, this particular one I would like to mention today. If you have not had any problems with them, then answer this question, 'Are you paying a fair price?' I only mention this because about 3 weeks ago my back right tire consistently would go flat over night and was finally at the point of no return. The closest tire shop to me at that moment was Big O Tires located just up the street on Rural and Broadway in Phoenix Arizona.

The first I explained was that I knew I needed all new tires, it had been a descent amount of time, that I was very low on money so I only would be able to purchase two tires, and the lowest priced tires for my car. As I waited a goof hour or so, I had 2 different employees speak with me. The first conversation was about how I must purchase 4 tires (same fella I previously spoke too), the second conversation was about my brakes and routers, which needed to be done all around but most importantly the front (the front was quoted at $240, which I kindly said I couldn't afford), the third employee at Big O Tires must have thought I was just plain stupid because he felt as if all the information needed to be repeated.

I was already disgusted with this experience at Big O Tires, but would let it go being the fact men believe females don't understand a lot about vehicles. When it came time to pay my bill the total was $184 and some change. This was very pricey considering the tires averaged $40 on the Internet. 'They don't always have certain tires in stock' I was explained. The bill was payed and I moved on knowing I wouldn't be spending my dollars with Big O Tires anymore.

This is where my decision was final.... I had the front brakes and routers changed totaling $170 at a local shop ($70 cheaper) that same day. To make matters more disturbing over the weekend I had another blown tire which wasn't a huge surprise since they needed to be replaced. I didn't feel like going to a tire store so my boyfriend took my car and decided to go to the same Big O Tires location. All in All I was basically robbed, same tires and services totaling him $143 and change. (That's $41.00 savings and no hassle) Once mentioned they said sorry nothing they could do because the website prices change daily and he didn't even know the special.

In conclusion, I will never recommend BIG O TIRES to anyone! Big O Tires does NOT change the ads daily, this was the same ad from 3 weeks ago! Finally if you are a BIG O TIRES shopper check your receipt, because you may just be over paying!

Not a good start to weekend

It's finally the weekend, yay even though it didn't get off to a good start. My 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser is at it again...I got a very small paycheck today from a job of mine, and of course had to go return/exchange a few things at Wal-mart and Target."

Let's start off with why I had to go visit the wonderful local Wal-mart! It started with my car being the Chrysler it is, Mr. PT Cruiser decided to start going crazy then shutting off. I had to get a tow to my place, and of course once in the driveway...wha-la turned on. So we decided to get my boyfriends 2000 Chevy Tahoe running and purchase the tags, well Mr. Tahoe didn't want to turn over which leads me to Wal-Mart for a battery exchange! Now I figured I could drive Mr. PT Cruiser to drop my daughter off at school and then to do a little battery exchanging...He had different plans. Once I dropped her off at school I got on the freeway, just me and Mr. PT Cruiser...bad idea, I didn't even make it to the next exit before her shut down on me twice, had an officer ask me if everything was ok, had to call my boyfriend to call a tow truck, then come pick me up so that we could get to the Wal-Mart allready.

After arriving at Wal-Mart we only had to wait about 15 minutes to be told it would be another 40 minutes to check the battery. Good thing there is a Subway in this store....or NOT. I got a 6 inch sub, and my boyfriend got a 12 inch Subway meal with the total cost of $16.74! Can you believe that? What happend to the "5, 5 dollar foot looong"??? Who knows, but the battery was ready to be exchanged and we were of to the MVD for tags! That went quick in and out, seriously reord time of like 10 minutes! Amazing I tell ya, usually you should pack a lunch (a little PB&J, Doritos, Red Vines, Pepsi)... even a snack.

Finally after a long day I need to go to Target to return a few things like Circo shoes for my daughter that I was overcharged for, Hanes undergarments that still had the coupon on the bag, and a dog brush. Mr. Tahoe didn't want me to be comfortable though I found out... the air conditioner didn't work! Luckly Target's customer service department was AWESOME today, took care of it all! I went to pick up the items I needed then recieved a call from my dad: "Your brother was in an car accident and was taken over to John C. Lincon Hospital" ::GULP:: "As soon as we hear something we will call you". I went to the check out shortly after when I was called again, this time from my youngest brother saying everything should be ok, nothing fatal. I was waiting to check out for a good 20 minutes (2 cashiers at Target on a friday evening...STUPID) but once I got home my mom called.

I spoke with my mom only to find out everyone waiting at the hospital was arguing with eachother...my sister with his wife, my parents, my little brother and my dad, his Mother-in-law with my mom, her boyfriend, my dad, and my brother.. horrible! All about stupid stuff that didn't need to be mentioned at the darn hospital!!! After a few of them were asked to leave they started calling me to tell their sides. I frankly don't give a rat's toe, this was un called for and childish!!!! My brother was discharged about an hour after that episode and went with my mom to her house to rest. Nothing major thank god, but he does need to be kept an eye on. I'm so glad he will be fine, knowing this ends my day better

Affiliate Networks, Programs, and more

This is more information from yesterdays blog, plus an update!

So I firgured out it has to be the IP address because my account through Zanox.com wasn't terminated. I also figured out personally I didn't like that network so much. Today I signed up with CJ.com ( Commission Junction) and updated Shoppersmallexpress.com. So far I like this affiliate network I was allready approved by Adobe, Kodak, Crayola, Coca Cola, Travelocity, Hotels.com, Go Daddy.com, EFax, Avery, Ashford, M&M's and more. The only downfall would have to be that my application was denied from alot of top companies such as Southwest Airlines, Apple, HP, Dell, Gap, and others. Well it's a fresh start though, plus all of the hard work I did(like building the templates for that website)is allready done. So easy now, just putting links together.
I've had a long day and need to get up tomorrow (More Marketing Techniques to write about at work tomorrow for my Step by Step Guide)so i'm off to bed!

Be sure to come back tomorrow for the final part of Affilliates!

Affiliate Networks

Affiliate Networks and Affiliate Programs">.

I'm writing a step by step guide for the company i'm currently working for and it's rather interesting. I have all rights to it so i'm not worried about anything but I'm not sure I like it yet. So I decided to put a few of the ads on this site. I'm trying to see if what happend before with a domain I was using. I think linkshare had terminated my affiliation because one of two things. 1. I started adding sub domains to the particular site or 2. When I signed each client up I was on the same IP Address... Linkshare said they do not have to say why so fine! I decided to try Zanox which is according to Ranking.com is currently ranked 724 and they un like linkshare actually have over 5k per million visit sessions. Amazing, I know! So to rule out the SubDomain thing lets see what happens.
Hopefully the banner link will show right below this and I won't get a terminated email.

Swing Music...yay!

Most people believe that Swing Music began with Louis Armstrong in 1924, but it wasn't until mid 1935, when the & "Swing Era" was considered. The first performance was, Goodman's band whom was scheduled to perform at the Palomar Ballroom in Los Angels, California. Now this actually required the band to travel from the East coast to the West, making performance stops on the way. During these many stops, the "hot tunes" they tried playing were received poorly from the listeners. This All changed on August 21st, 1935 which was the official start of The Swing Era.
Shortly after this performance from 1935- 1946 every country club, night club, ballroom, radio, and even the background music of the movies was filled with swing jazz. People everywhere fox trotted to the sweet swing jazz tunes. Over this era some of the most popular music was made, from performers like Coleman Hawkins, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Red Allen, Roy Eldridge, Benny Carter,John Kirby, The Dorsey Brothers, Fletcher Henderson, Cab Calloway, The Casa Loma Orchestra, Duke Ellington's orchestra, The Mills Brothers, The Boswell Sisters,Benny Carter, Bunny Berigan, Ella Fitzgerald, Glenn Miller, Jimmy Dorsey, Lester young, Nat King Cole, Teddy Wilson, The Andrews Sisters, Frank Sinatra, and many others.

Art Masterpieces in Time

If you leave your home you see art work all around, if you stay home, most likely you still see artwork. So, when did this all start? Over the past centuries no one can set in stone an actual time line pertaining the arts and sciences due to the everyday new discoveries. Some of the most famous have been documented to a specific time period due of the nature of the art."

The Gothic style (1280-1515) began with the architectures of the 12th century, at the height of the Middle Ages. The most known artwork from this time was done by the Limbourg brothers. Pol, Herman, and Jean Limbourg put allot of work into their joint masterpiece, *Les Riches Heures*.
The Renaissance style (1420-1600) might have been the most popular of all time most would say. I believe this may be where we find some of the greatest artists ever known. Some include the mighty Florentines, Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo Di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni, The Umbrian, Raphael Sanzio and The Venetians... Titian, Tintoretto and Veronese.
The Impressionists style (1860-1900) are unrivalled in their popular appeal. Their paintings are among the best and most loved in the world. Everyone I know has seen at least one piece of artwork from this style. The most familiar principal Impressionist painters were Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Pierre Auguste Renoir, Camille Pissarro, Alfred Sisley, Berthe Morisot, Armand Guillaumin, Bazille, Edgar Degas and Paul.
Last but not least you find The Modern Masters (1900-2000)that are constantly being updated with new findings."

Here are a few of my favorites, enjoy!
The Last Supper, Leonardo Da Vinci 1448
The Last Judgment, Michaelangelo 1515
Starry Night Over Rhone, Vincent Van Gogh 1888
La Promenade, Claude Monet 1875
Ballet Rehearsal Edgar Degas 1873
